Part-time Teaching Opportunities

With our student enrollment growing, OVS is expanding our team. We’re seeking passionate, dedicated teachers across all subject areas to join our vibrant school community.
Successful candidates will:
- follow the Ontario College of Teachers Professional Standards
- be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- have OCT certification in Intermediate and Senior Divisions
- have experience teaching at the Secondary level
- have a working knowledge of the Ontario Secondary Curriculum and Growing Success
- foster a caring and professional rapport with students in an online environment
Successful candidates will also have:
- A demonstrated passion and commitment toward continued professional growth and development
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and administrators
- Demonstrated experience using technology
- Experience and creativity in the subject matter
Experience teaching online is not essential as we provide all the technical training and IT support for a successful experience.
NOTE: Successful candidates will be added to a pool of teachers and assigned a course when enrollment reaches the minimum requirement. Student enrollment is continuous. As such, all teachers are hired on a 1-year renewable contract.

- Resume as a separate attachment
- Most recent Teacher Performance Appraisal or Practicum Reports (if no TPA) as a separate attachment
- At least one professional reference who is an administrator different from the person who completed your TPA or practicum report. Please include the name, position, phone number, email address and your professional relationship with the person. Reference letters will also be accepted. Your permission to contact each reference is understood.
